Spirited Art and Design is a family art studio where we make art we love, we sell it, and we work with others to bring their creative visions to life. Collectively, we work in a wide variety of media offering both decorative and functional items in wood, stained glass, fiber, encaustic, ceramics, acrylic, charcoal, and mixed media, as well as utilizing computer aided design (CAD) to make prototypes and custom components as needed.
At Spirited Art and Design, we think of ourselves as artists and as craftsmen. We value quality, tradition, transparency and integrity in the work we sell. We also value innovation and life-long learning, often following unexpected creative nudges to take on things we haven’t done before. That novelty fuels the spirit, bringing a fresh, positive energy to our work and to our lives in general.
For us, the real joy and power of art is in the making of it, the process, the back and forth. We enjoy working in the studio as a family, experiencing the space together and making things with our own hands. When people buy an original artwork, they are not just buying an object. They are acquiring a relic of a days-, weeks-, or months-long undertaking comprised of excitement, frustration, ideas that worked, ideas that didn’t, learning, growing, and just being very vulnerable. Each piece of art has a backstory.
We think people should witness more of that story. In person.
That is why we are expanding our studio. Upon completion (projected for late 2027), we plan to open our doors so that works-in-progress can be seen, not just on social media, but in person. We want to share with others the joy and excitement that our family experiences in the studio. We also want to create opportunities for people to come together and make art boldly with us, in the spirit of health, learning, authenticity, and just having a good time. At Spirited Art and Design people will not only enjoy finished artwork, but also the process and the creation story that becomes memorialized within a finished piece of art.
